The Role

As part of the implementation of a new HR Operating

model we are changing the HR structure in the Benelux region and looking for

our HR Manager to lead the change, and be part of the local management team to

drive all aspects of HR operations in the region.

This role will report into the HR Delivery Lead EMEA and


for the daily HR operations across the BeNeLux region.

This position also plays an important role in partnering with business leaders,

the broader HR organisation and Works Councils during ongoing integration as a

result of a merger.

Team Management

  • Build a strong HR function & presenceacross BeNeLux, establishing and embedding HR solutions, ways of working,policies and processes while continuously improving service levels.

  • You will be responsible for the country HR teams whichinclude HR Advisory, Talent Acquisition and HR Service Delivery, you will alsoconnect with HRCoEs (Talent Advisory, Compensation and Benefits).

  • Manage a team of HR Colleagues across 3 countries.

Integration & Change


  • Manage and oversee multiple HR integration projects:

  • Benefitsintegration

  • STI implementation

  • Embedding new HR operating model

  • Lead on new ways ofworking and maintaining a productive and harmonious workplace

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HRpolicies and procedures

  • Support cross-businessculture

Integrated HR Service


  • Identify and implementopportunities for global standardisation (e.g. HR process, service delivery)while understanding and allowing for differences where appropriate.

  • Partner with CountryBusiness Leaders to understand the key business issues in the region, providingHR analytics and insight, ensuring HR advice and practices support and drivebusiness initiatives and talent agenda.

  • Partner with CoE leadsto ensure global programs are delivered effectively in the region.

  • Oversee compliance, regulatory and controls.

  • Region wide responsibility for maintaining excellentand long term relationships with the works council representatives andstakeholders ensuring balanced and positive dialogue.

HR Business Partnering

  • Strategic business partnerto the Benelux Leadership team and one of the Lines of Business.

  • Provide guidance andcounsel on matters related to talent, organisational change, employeeengagement etc.

  • Train managers on a wide range of HR relatedtopics including performance management, the rollout of new HR programs andpolicies, etc.

  • Work closely with the businessto deliver on the annual performance and compensation process.

  • Manage all employee relationsissues within the business area supporting and guiding managers to handledisciplinaries and grievances.


  • 10 or more years within Human Resources or relatedbusiness role at senior level with a track record of success in partnering withsenior leaders.

  • Effectively defining, developing and drivingorganisation effectiveness, change management and labour relations, talent andengagement strategies and programs that successfully result in the attainmentof business goals and the longer term vision.

  • Experienced in developing Talent and Recruitmentstrategies and action plans

  • Experienced in developing labour relations andnegotiation strategies and action plans

  • Able to adapt appropriately to challenging situationswith personal resilience and diplomacy

  • Strong negotiator, willing to dialogue and obtainresults with positivity and tenacity

  • Sound knowledge of relevant labour relations andworking with work councils.

  • Experience of leading and managing an HR professionalteam.

  • Experience as a trusted partner, coach and mentor ofsenior business leaders at executive level.

  • Experience in multiple locations with a global mind-set,experience of matrix and indirect leadership is a requirement.

  • Regular travel across the Benelux region – 10to 20% of time.

  • Bilingual Dutch and English mandatory. Knowledge ofFrench is an advantage.
