WTW Colombia Controllership - Director in Bogota, Colombia
The Role
Coordinate GL, FA, AGIS, CM, AR and AP transactions: execute controls, post transactions.
Review BS accounts reconciliation – Blackline reconciliation tool.
Partner up and support financial information to business.
Lead Local Team and effectively liaising with Global Processes – Finance Network Operations.
Closing the books in the most effective manner.
Facilitate C internal and external financial audits .
Submit in Colombia statutory reporting under IFRS
Support analysis and review of accuracy of group reporting under USGAAP
Recommend financial systems improvements.
Working with the FON to deliver day to day financial controllership operations
Work closely with Tax team on year-end tax calculations and disclosures.
Review Colombia end of month close and reconciliations.
Prepare Financial statements and provide sign-off for month end close.
The Requirements
Accounting degree
Financial Accounting / Reporting, and/or Financial Controlling experience is strongly preferred – 15+ experience
Experience in a global operating environment from professional services audit background
Experience in a Shared services environment is considered as an advantage
Knowledge in Oracle and Blackline
Strong knowledge and understanding of Finance processes and accounting fundamentals including applicable standards and framework (USGAAP and IFRS)
Knowledge in Colombia national and municipal Taxes environment
Good level of English speaking, writing and reading is required.
Proven interpersonal skills, to include communication and Self-motivated.
Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
