The Data Program QA Manager is accountable for all aspects of software quality within the Corporate Risk and Broking business segment. The Manager will ensure adherence to, as well as the improvement of, frameworks, tools, processes, service levels, quality metrics, and best practices to support quality assurance within CRB. The QA Manager will use tools and best practice to provide real time reporting on test preparation and execution. There is a scope to influence and shape this role as it evolves.
As part of CRB Quality Assurance, deliver high quality projects and platforms to meet CRB business needs and to implement CoE test strategy, process and tools.
Lead a team of quality assurance associates within agile and waterfall teams in an onshore/offshore model to deliver high quality software/solutions.
Own and implement test demand management for the BAU and CoE Shared Services function.
Implement support processes that meet the Business requirements and are in line with IT objectives and requisite service levels.
Implement and maintain test automation best practices.
Recommend and execute agreed improvements for test strategy, test process, test environment, test data management, and integration testing.
Reduce and actively manage defect leakage.
Provide real time metrics on test preparation, execution and defects to inform project planning and drive delivery.
Experience of ETL (extract transform and load testing), BI testing and data migration required. Tools such as SOAPUI and SQL preferred.
Ideally project experience focused on data warehouses, data lakes or migrating large volumes of data.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience is required.
Sound experience in a testing function with solid experience gained as a test manager/lead.
Partner with other IT teams to ensure quality assurance team participation from design stages to deliver highest software quality.
Experience managing in an onshore/offshore model.
Candidate will have good interpersonal and communication skills, leadership qualities and be a team player.
Proven track record in building and maintaining high performing teams.
Experience in release management and agile methodologies.
Experience in automation tools and practices.
Ability to accomplish results through collaboration and effective relationships in a matrix environment.
