The Line of Business Lead, GB Casualty will be responsible for managing, motivating and developing the skills, competencies and knowledge of team members along with co-ordination and alignment of colleagues to drive both the GB Line of business pipeline. They will provide leadership, direction, advice and guidance to the team maintaining high levels of integrity, motivation and morale

Implement and drive the I&D initiative within P&C CoE. In addition to GB responsibilities, they will work closely with geographic / regional / and other LoB leaders to develop the global pipeline, sales, and cross sell opportunities.

The Role

  • Lead and deliver the 5 year growth plan

  • Manages and develops team and accountable for all talent reporting to that team

  • Manages business pipeline and sales opportunities working closely with Geography leads and Head of Broking

  • Responsible for managing, motivating and developing the skills, competencies and knowledge of team members in line with policies and procedures, including overseeing and managing of staff performance reviews and objective setting

  • Maintain staff competence by ensuring that staff skills or knowledge gaps are met with appropriate training and development so they are able to perform to their maximum capability and fulfil their potential and the requirements of the business

  • Work with Talent Acquisition to recruit staff with the correct level of skills and competencies, adhering to the company’s recruitment procedures and best practices

  • Work with Operations to ensure that policies and procedures are understood and followed by the team so that all aspects of risk management, information security, legislation and regulation are managed effectively

The Requirements


  • Preferably educated to a degree, or MBA level (or country equivalent)

  • Preferably with professional qualifications, e.g. ACII or similar country equivalent, or relevant industry experience


  • Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of developing people

  • Strong skills in problem solving, planning and budgeting

  • High levels of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy and change management

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence within a matrix environment

  • Strong facilitation skills – able to use inclusive and collaborative styles to manage ambiguity and gain agreement

  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills

  • Ability to act as an ambassador for the Company
