WTW CAC Accountant * in Medellín, Colombia
Based in Bogotá, Colombia, the experienced Accountant position will be accountable for the integrity of WTW’s financial ledgers under USGAAP with direct alignment to WTW’s financial controls; he/she will closely work with the Finance Operations Network to deliver day to day financial controllership operations. Colleague will also support Colombia financial reporting activities to ensure that financial statements are accurate, produced timely and are in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
The Role
Supporting country accounting and finance needs
Facilitate office internal and external financial audits.
Continuous Process Improvement
Work closely with Treasury team to manage and track Intercompany settlements.
Work closely with Tax team on tax calculations and disclosures.
Prepare office period end reconciliations.
Supporting country financial reporting activities to ensure that financial statements are accurate, produced timely and are in accordance with accounting standards (IFRS and USGAAP)
Accountable for CAC office accounting reporting processes and systems.
Closing the books in the most effective manner
Working with the Finance Operation Network to deliver day to day financial controllership operations.
The Requirements
Accounting degree
Strong knowledge and understanding of Finance processes and accounting fundamentals including applicable standards and framework (USGAAP and IFRS)
High level of English speaking, writing and reading is required.
Effective and inclusively working experience within and across shared services.
At least 10 years of experience in Financial Accounting / Reporting, and/or Financial Controlling areas, also good experience in a global operating environment from multinational / multilatina entities
Proven interpersonal skills, to include communication and negotiation.
Self-motivated and ability to work on own and to tight timescales.
Strong problem-solving and decision making skills.
Experience working with different countries and cultures is an advantage.
Experience in Oracle R12 is desirable
