The Role

Overall responsibility for IT service communications strategy, supporting processes and process improvement. Owns IT service communications process end-to-end. Ensures colleagues are kept up to date and informed of all IT service interruptions, changes and technology initiatives. Involved in the daily operation of communications to ensure that established processes are adhered to and communications are sent in an appropriate manner and to the expected quality. Serve as the lead Communications liaison for IT Service Management and large-scale IT project teams in establishing needed processes, timelines, drafting communications, and templates in order to communicate to colleagues and stakeholders in an effective and timely manner. Also plays a key role in producing documents to support Executive reporting across the IT service delivery arena.

  • Overall responsibility for IT service communications, supporting processes and process improvement

  • Contributes to strategic planning and design of all relevant process improvement and change.

  • Responsible for ensuring that teams follow standard procedures at all times in support of a high quality communication and collaboration experience

  • Develop communication program for the leadership team including slide decks, executive reports, program updates, and service delivery status reports.

  • Develop the communication plan to inform colleagues and other stakeholders of strategic initiatives

  • Involved in the daily operation of communications to ensure that established processes are adhered to.

  • Manages multiple streams of communications across multiple IT Teams and via multiple communication medias.

  • Plays key role in producing appropriate reporting and metrics to demonstrate service value and identify areas for improvement.

  • Work with global communications teams (internal to Corporate IT and external to IT) to develop and agree a proactive communications approach

  • Work closely with our global and local communications groups and specialists to ensure success of communications programs, campaigns, printing, delivery and all facets of the programs are delivered as expected.

  • Support IT Leadership in coordination of management meetings and program status calls. This may include support to draft meeting agenda, topics, producing presentations etc.

The Requirements

  • Qualified degree from an accredited University / College

  • Business Communication Certificate, CMP, Masters in communication, or equivalent

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of executing communication methodologies in a global organization that change behaviors

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and listening.

  • Demonstrate ability to execute a global campaign with multiple communication approaches (video, print, electronic, apps, etc.)

  • Ability to understand and simplify technical instructions so they are understandable and easy to follow

  • Must have experience working in an environment which utilizes knowledge management and self-service

  • A heavy focus on customer service, customer experience and usability

  • Proven excellence in measuring and reporting KPI’s for communications and branding impact

  • Experience of producing and utilizing graphics / imagery to effectively tell a story

  • Must have a basic understanding of IT Service fundamentals

  • Actively promotes ideas, proposals, influences strategy, encourage innovation and manages change

  • Customer Service orientation with a strong bias toward action

  • Effective and calm under pressure

  • Ability to influence, network and collaborate with stakeholders
