WTW Head of US Broker Sales - Neuron in New York, New York
Within our Risk and Brokering Insurance Consulting and Technology team , we are setting out to revolutionize the way the global Insurance market conducts its business today, to create more efficient ways of working and a better solution to placing risk, reducing costs and transforming the way we operate in the broker- insurer value chain. Neuron is a ‘start-up’ business within WTW looking to establish a new way of Digital Trading within the Global Insurance Industry, and this role offers a great opportunity for you to work collaboratively with the Neuron Lead and your peers to support both the set up and subsequent rapid growth journey of this new part of WTW, winning new customers and expanding into new markets internationally. You must be an excellent leader able to manage key relationships both internally and externally and build effective teams across multiple locations to deliver the required commercial growth for the business. The Role
You will report to the Neuron US Commercial Officer and participate fully in the achievement of the overall Neuron business plan.
This position can be based in a major U.S. Market and is open to remote/virtual work.

Sales Process:
Lead execution of insurance brokers, agents and intermediaries prospecting, pursuit planning and sales to deliver a client led consultative sales model
Develop and manage an active qualified pipeline through seeking out prospects, calling on potential clients and building upon existing client relationships and broad industry network across top 50 U.S. commercial brokers
Conduct thorough research on prospective and target clients to ensure the Neuron value proposition is customized to demonstrate product offerings and proposals to meet the specific needs of each potential client.
Identify and conduct initial triage of needs, and develop ideas for meeting those needs, presenting information on WTW’s capabilities, strategically cross-selling ICT and other WTW businesses solutions aligned with client needs and introducing subject matter experts, as required, to win the business
Lead the execution of insurance carrier prospect sales strategies
Collaborate with marketing, product development, strategy and delivery teams to execute sales strategies, create sales messages, collateral, identifying and managing sales campaigns
Promote WTW as a leader in the market with superior industry knowledge, insights, and solutions
Participate and take leadership roles in targeted industry conferences, professional associations and community events
Continuously stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive offerings to effectively position our digital distribution technology software in the market
Client Management:
Prepare proposals and presentations leveraging marketing resources, practice groups, subject matter experts and client relationship managers for existing clients
Maintain consistent/high quality touch points by phone and face to face with prospects and clients
Deliver persuasive and compelling product demonstrations and sales presentations, both in person and virtually, to decision-makers at commercial insurance carriers.
Manage discovery activities including assessment of client digital readiness to determine business and technology maturity required for successful participation in a digital trading marketplace.
Participate in client relationship stewardship and planning meetings
Collaborate with the customer success team to ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation and ongoing client support.
Lead post sale and annual client relationship stewardship and planning meetings to support customer NPS and TNPS metrics.
Lead postmortems to ensure client feedback and lessons are fed into the virtuous circle to ensure the voice of the customer and market feed the Neuron strategy, product roadmap and customer success model.
Pipeline Management:
Identify prospects for business from existing and prospective clients
Develop new relationships with individuals responsible for making or influencing decisions in areas relevant to our solutions
Obtain referral leads from existing clients and other WTW businesses
Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities with other WTW businesses
Adhere to the Neuron standards for pipeline management, execution and hygiene across all stages
Financial metrics:
Deliver profitable new business generation for the proposition
Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring deals meet cost of acquisition and implementation meets margin goals to achieve profitability metrics for the company.
Meet ambitious sales targets (both individual and practice-level), operating as a highly respected and market-leading sales leader
Participate in pipeline meetings, sales and revenue forecasting, quarterly business reviews and annual planning
Ensure pricing protocols, project estimating standards and margin targets are executed
Manage budget for travel and business development activities against plan and ensure ROI for spending is achieved.
Participate fully in the Neuron insurance carrier objectives and the achievement of the overall Neuron business plan and budget
Other:
Provide annual input for the performance review of colleagues as appropriate
Deliver timely/quality feedback to colleagues as appropriate; assist colleagues in acquiring new skills
Help to identify and develop future sales talent
The Requirements
Strong network and industry expertise to identify solid prospects. leading to qualified pipeline of target clients of commercial insurance carriers, focusing primarily on CEOs, COOs, and CIOs required to build a book of business.
Proven track record of success in driving sales and relationship growth with commercial and specialty insurance carriers to achieve revenue targets, with heavy experience in building and leading high-performing sales teams.
Demonstrated success in senior client management and/or sales roles in the commercial P&C market (e.g., carriers, brokers, vendors) and/or insurance consulting firms
Extensive understanding of and experience in commercial lines underwriting, pricing, distribution, leading to the development, delivery of effective sales strategies and reputation as a client-centric sales professional
Meticulous and analytical, confident in problem solving and decision making
Ambition to help property & casualty insurers succeed in the new business environment and evolving risk landscape
Excellent communication (written, verbal and oral) skills and interpersonal skills and ability to forge relationships at senior levels of organizations
Solid team player with ability to influence without authority
Minimum of 10 years of industry experience
Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, ARM, a plus but not required
Ability to work in a client-centric strategic and decisive manner according to tight deadlines
Availability to travel on an as needed basis

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $220,000 - $275,000 USD. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
