The Role

As part of the administrative team, you will provide support to members of the Pensions Technical Unit team and help to maintain the RET GB intranet. The successful applicant will possess excellent IT and communication skills, be capable of working under pressure and both independently and as part of a team.

The Pensions Technical Unit (PTU) is responsible for ensuring that Willis Towers Watson consultants and clients are kept fully up-to-date with legislative and regulatory developments affecting pension schemes in the UK and within the EU. It does this predominantly through an intranet, but also by means of presentations and by the provision of an enquiry service. It also alerts clients to important developments through a hot topics news service.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

People

  • Provide direct admin support to members of the PTU team, including diary management, travel, holiday records and assisting with any other administrative related matters as requested.

  • Co-ordination of internal seminars roadshows and training sessions, including booking rooms and equipment, sending appropriate meeting invitations etc.

  • Act as proxy for absence on timecard submission, complete expenses as required

  • Build strong relationships internally

  • Deliver support that meets or exceeds expectations of those you are working with

  • Maintain RET GB intranet ensuring that material is uploaded in line with our Professional Excellence standards

  • Housestyling and anonymisation of client material

  • Digitisation of extensive library of reference material

  • Manage archived reference material.

The Requirements

  • Excellent IT skills – in particular Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel. SharePoint would be an advantage

  • Good command of English language, spelling and grammar

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Good organisational skills and be methodical, thorough and pay close attention to detail

  • Able to prioritise workload, multi-task and work to deadlines using own initiative

  • Flexible, adaptable and a good team player with excellent people skills

  • Able to work under pressure as part of a team and independently

  • Ability and enthusiasm for learning new systems and IT packages
