The purpose of the Client Consultant is to effectively manage and grow a portfolio of clients ensuring that their Health & Benefit (H&B) needs are identified and met through consultation in relation to H&B solutions; group insurance, medical insurance (domestic and specialty risk) and wellness. The Client Consultant will also deliver on clients consulting requirements which may include, remarketing (tender) of programs, provision of consulting updates (insurer, legislative, best market practice and managing policy renewal reconciliation).

The location of the role can be Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide or Brisbane.

The Role

  • Maintain and cultivate client relationships, seeking to understand their H&B needs to deliver a high quality service

  • Provide input to new business opportunities by working with the nominated opportunity/tender team and provide input as per agreed tender timelines

  • Maximisation of the revenue generated from the existing client base through continual analysis of client profitability and maximisation of group facilities

  • In conjunction with the Claims Consultant, Insurer or other stakeholders, and in accordance with our claims advocacy model, you will be conversant with all significant claims involving your clients and will take appropriate action where required

  • Identify and undertake development activities as part of the companies development program

  • Adhere to all compliance and business processes

  • Continually support colleagues in a small but tight knit team

The Requirements

  • Proven experience in theHealth & Benefits market,or related markets

  • Industry related qualifications and a relevantbusiness degree are desirable

  • Compliance with ASIC RG146

  • Hold all regulatory licences, permissions andtechnical or other requirements applicable under local legislation

  • Ability to manage key relationships at HR Director/CFOlevel

  • Broad understanding of employee benefit offerings

  • Sound oral and written communication skills both onindividual and small group basis

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and businessapplications

  • Broad understanding of business, legal, economic andfinancial services environment

  • Proven relationship management skills

  • Knowledge of employment agreements and a goodunderstanding of H&B and related products

  • Sound understanding of current benefit trends in themarket
