WTW Configuration Analyst - Client Projects and Installs in Taguig, Philippines

The Configuration Analyst role reports to the Client Projects & Installs Lead (Manila) , with the primary focus of ensuring all client configuration creation and change activities are executed to time, budget and quality.

Working under the direction of the Lead Configuration Analyst, the Configuration Analyst will work closely with new clients and Installs and Data Migration teams and other owners in Outsourcing NNA non technology teams involved in the business change to ensure that the implementation of new clients and client changes achieve high quality outcomes within the administration function post implementation.

The role of Configuration Analyst requires an individual to be technically minded, adept at understanding, documenting and communicating the context and impact of configuration changes within a system.

Typical activities include liaising with the development teams to confirm changes to the data structure and working through the functional implications of any change, documenting new changes and discussing them with the client systems teams.

This is a pivotal role managing the touchpoint between the core development and client systems teams and as such would give you a good understanding of the full systems structure, with multiple avenues for professional development.

The Role

Responsible for the production and interpretation of configuration requirements for functionality within the BenefitConnect system

  • As part of a global team, the CA is expected to attend regular project calls and provide updates on the status of project activities, including highlighting and managing risks and issues that has a direct impact on the overall success of the project

  • Assess documents pertaining to requirements, as well as data to ensure a clear understanding of what is required, questioning and clarifying requirements with internal project team members as needed

  • Provide advice and solutions to internal stakeholders based on knowledge of system features and capabilities

  • Document data mapping approach by creating a data mapping document

  • Specify any integration logic requirement to ensure that the system receives the necessary data values to meet project requirements

  • Prepare, execute, and support testing activities by pro-actively reporting issues and monitoring them to resolution

  • Maintain a level of curiosity that allows one to maintain knowledge of system capabilities and process enhancements

  • Actively share ideas for system and process improvements

  • Collaborate with global and local teams using applicable tools and technology, such as MS Teams a

  • Support other colleagues within the team

As a Configuration Analyst, you will need to be able to understand the generic impact of data items within the system whilst also understanding the context in which such items would be set. You should be able to interpret business or legislative requirements in relation to their practical impact.

In this sense, some understanding of the UK pensions technical landscape is desirable, but not essential if you can demonstrate the ability to interpret multiple (sometimes seemingly conflicting) requirements. Overall the role is changeable and ideal for a candidate who enjoys working with systems software and understands database table design and dependencies.

The Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience working with Unix (preferred) and Oracle SQL (required)

  • A logical and methodical approachto work with strong attention to details

  • Strong problem solvingskills in order to analysedata and requirements and find appropriate solutions

  • Self-motivated and abilityto work on own and to tight timescales

  • Strong understanding of data and experience with data validation and manipulation usingOracle SQL and appropriate Microsoft tools/apps (ex. Microsoft Excel)

  • Experience working with ETL (Extract,Transform, and Load) tools would be beneficial
