The Data Developer is responsible for analysis and development of data configuration, migration, extraction, and reporting scripts in support for data loading and configuration to address client requirements and deployment of global solutions for Outsourcing NNA Technology Applications. The role is guided by using established software development methodology, technical architecture and framework.

The role requires a passion and attention to detail and covers data analysis, translating specifications for the development of data extractions, transformation and data loading scripts, problem solving, and the ability to learn new concepts and best practices.

This role reports into the Team Lead Data Developer

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyses client data requirements and provide inputs in planningand appropriate technical solution with focus on accuracy and efficiency when developing data extraction, transformation scripts loading scripts

• under the supervision of senior team members.

• Collaborates with severalteams and developers, communicating what isrequired in support to what is required in the implementation with the supervision from senior team members.

• Troubleshoot technical problems encountered duringthe iterative data conversion, loading, verification lifecycle.

• Develops own in-depth specialist knowledge with the guidance and coaching from senior team members.

• Develops relationships with other businessareas to gain a strongunderstanding of productsand services as well as key business processes.

• Shares best practices of coding and development with the team to encourage continuous improvement and innovation.

• Works in line with ISO standards, Outsourcing NNA system, processand quality requirements and WTW Excellence guidelines.

The Requirements

Knowledge and Experience:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree and significant experience in a technology related discipline, such as IT or Engineering or equivalent experience

• Knowledge in Unix (Linux/AIX), OracleSQL is a must.

• Knowledge in Perl programming and/or other programming language or tool for Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading is optional.

• Experience with source code control systems.

• Experience on code quality, performance and security.

• Knowledge on industry best practices for software development including requirements, analysis, design, implementation, testing, documentation.

• Proactively identifies and supports the implementation of continuous improvement items with the Technical/Team Leader a Manager.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment that has tight deadlines.

• Be available, at times, to work extended work hours.
