A Software Developer will be an integral part of a global team to deliver technical solutions for Data Conversion and Calculation Automation implementation primarily for TAS UK clients.

The Role

You will be responsible to set-up new clients within BenefitConnect UK and provide enhancement support to existing client base following Professional Excellence and ISO standards.

Performance Objectives:


  • Design, code, test, debug and document software systems under the direction of the project manager, technical lead or team leader.

  • Develop applications per detailed specifications using specified programming languages, tools, and techniques.

  • Deliver unit-tested systems timely that meet specification and functional requirements

  • Troubleshoot technical problems.

  • Provide technical support on developed systems.

  • Ensure that all project tasks are completed following best practices and within set quality objectives.


  • Develop expertise in tools and processes within TAS UK and including general business knowledge on UK pensions.


  • Work with a global team to manage client expectations and eliminate potential risks that can affect project deliverables.

  • Deliver innovative and appropriate solutions that meet client requirements and improve quality and efficiency in delivering work.


  • Assist in determining requirements for estimating project budget and timelines and ensure that plans and estimates are met.

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Math or related area.

  • Experience or training in: Unix\Linux Shell scripting is preferred, but not required

  • Experience or training in: Python or related Object-oriented programming (e.g. C/C++, Java)

  • Experience in systems development techniques and database. Oracle PL/SQL is preferred, but not required

  • Experience in the Financials, Human Resources or Benefits domain areas is preferred, but not required

  • Strong business logic and analytical skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Experience working with the UK and/or US is preferred

  • Ability to work on “virtual” teams with members from different geographic areas

  • Ability to multi-task, and be mindful of deadlines.

  • Self-motivated and ability to remain focused on assigned projects.
