JOB DESCRIPTION

The Project Manager will identify and oversee ongoing projects with a specific beginning, end, and achievable goal. This individual will be responsible for tracking all work and working groups involved in a project, including software development, operations, and third party entities. They will be expected to regularly follow up with all parties to make sure they are aware of, and able to, fulfill their assigned responsibilities, as well as to communicate status and changes in priority of other working groups.

The Role

  • Tracks and communicates progress/health of all ongoing projects and teams/resources

  • Coordinates prioritization of project backlog and assignment of resources

  • Coordinates re-prioritization of ongoing projects and resolution of blocking issues

  • Maintains a roadmap and schedule of project deliveries and resource availability/capacity

  • Implements a methodology or work plan under which activities can be sequenced and completed

  • Ensures that project cash and labor expenses are accommodated and reported to keep financial records up to date for tax and accounting purposes

  • Coordinates relevant sponsors and contributors in correctly setting expectations of project parameters (budget, scope, resources, quality) and gathering post-delivery feedback on achievement of original goal

  • Will not allow problems to go unspoken/unsolved

The Requirements

  • Have 3-5 years of experience in software, or technology related Project Management

  • Comfortable discussing software development and software/technology systems and have specific applicable experience working with software teams

  • Communicate effectively with the ability to accurately represent all parties in an unbiased manner

  • Develop creative and innovative ways to improve the organizations ability to achieve its goals

  • Foster teamwork by working in cooperation with others to resolve problems and make effective decisions

  • Positively influence others and find ways to bring up difficult topics when it is in the best interest of the business

  • Maintain an awareness of communicated goals, and not lose sight of the forest for the trees

  • Possess a degree in a related field, or relevant experience

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP and/or ACP Certification(s)

  • Experience with applying typical PMI activities and methodologies

  • Experience working in a call center operations environment

  • Experience with program or portfolio management in a supportive PMO role
