WTW Communication Specialist in Toronto, Ontario

The Communication and Engagement Solutions community is a part of the Employee Experience line of business within the Health, Wealth and Careers segment at WTW. Our communications professionals help companies to effectively communicate with their employees and manage complex changes. Our activities include developing communication strategies and deliverables ranging from total rewards (e.g., pension, benefits, pay, culture, learning & development), to complex business process changes (such as mergers and acquisitions), to senior leadership communication, and more.

This is a hybrid position, located in Toronto.

The Role

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Write and edit employee communication materials in the areas of employee benefits, personal finance, wellbeing and employee programs

  • Develop content for a range of creative communications campaigns, including online, video and print deliverables

  • Provide project management support, including liaising with stakeholders, developing project plans, and providing status updates

  • Work closely with consultants across different lines of business on various projects

  • Work with technical experts, in-house writers, graphic designers and translators, as well as with external suppliers, to execute creative communication campaigns

  • Meet billable hour targets

The Requirements

  • At least 3-4 years’ experience in a field related to communication, public relations, human resources, financial services, consulting, and/or agency work

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., English/Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, etc.)

  • A natural communicator with outstanding written and verbal English communication skills (bilingualism is a definite asset, but not a prerequisite)

  • Ability to take complex topics (e.g., about benefits programs) and explain them in a user-friendly and audience-appropriate way

  • A self-starter who works well in a team environment

  • Organized and focused, with strong project management skills, an ability to manage competing deadlines, and an ability to work and think in a methodical and orderly way

  • Committed to quality and professional excellence

  • Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office products and online communication platforms
